There is Friction In The Space Between
The Third Line, Dubai, 2020

Series 7 was made specifically to commemorate the 15th anniversary of The Third Line Gallery, and therefore revolves around the number 15. The series consists of 15 works, each of which is a diamond with 15 cm sides; stacked on top of one another to form a tower that is 15 feet tall. Each piece depicts a complex layering of hand-drawn lines with a first color transitioning into a second color, and each following piece sequentially progressing into new colors.

The series starts with the color black at the bottom of the first artwork and then cycles through 15 colors to return back to the color black at the top of the 15th artwork. Together the vertical stack of 15 pieces forms a full spectrum gradient that represents the idea of growth through time and evolution.
