‘1, 2, 3’ - Solo Show

Series 3 was the third and final series of works that I presented in my first solo exhibition, ‘1,2,3’ in 2018. For the final series of the exhibition, I wanted to combine what I had learned from the first two series to create a final set of larger pieces. Since the first series had been 16”x16” with black ink, and the second set had been 8” x 8” with color ink, I wanted the third series to literally combine these elements, to be 24” x 24” using both black ink and color ink. Also, like the previous two series, I wanted the final series to have the same one-step progression from one piece to the next, to ultimately create an endless loop. Unlike the previous two series, where from one piece to another every line would progress in its placement (as in Series 1) or in its color (as in Series 2), the third series works with some elements that stay stable and other elements that progress, in order to create the infinite rippling in just three artworks.
