Pixel Print 2
2020, Open Edition
Digital Artwork, Spot UV Print on Archival Paper
42 cm x 29.7 cm
Pixel Print 2 was an evolutionary follow-up to Pixel Print 1, using the same scale and pixel format as its predecessor but with a slightly evolved geometric language. While the first print only used square pixels, this print incorporates the diagonally cut half-pixel which with its 4 directional orientations opens up a new world of unnamable compound shapes. The second difference is that Pixel Print 1 was a pattern based on a mathematical formula, so each pixel was placed according to a set, pre-determined framework. In this print, each pixel is placed based on a free form improvisation starting from the center outwards. All proceeds from this print are donated to Black Lives Matter, so it is an open edition.
